I've recently discovered an incredible tool at www.LinkedIn.com .

While I've been using the Web for years and I've heard about social media and building connections, I didn't really understand the staggering implications for my business - or my life for that matter.

I was introduced to Linkedin.com by a colleague who was using it to build his relationships in his Send Out Cards www.sendoutcards.com business. Since he's someone I trust, I logged on and then took a Linked In training webinar at www.network2networth.com/linkedintraining.com .

Not only am I one of 14 + million business people using the system, but I can find people I already know and look into their networks to see if they know people I need to meet.

I'm a networker - and LinkedIn takes it to a whole new level! What makes LinkedIn different from some of the other social networks (like MySpace or FaceBook) is that it is specifically a business network.

The Webinar taught me how to set up my profile and how to avoid the mistakes that will get me shut down in this highly structured environment. I've just started building my network and in a few short weeks have grown by first level contacts to 38, my second level to 5200 and my third level to 560,000. These are people I might never have had a chance to meet that I now know how to strategically contact (through people I already know) to grow my business and resource base.
